Photo Gallery: California 1

Californa is the golden state. It is the land of the gold rush and of the film industry who makes a fortune with setting suns and warm-toned colours. The sheer amount of light is incredible; I guess it is more than four times as much as in Germany, yielding four times faster shutter speeds.

California is also the state of the poor. For a foreign observer, there are incredibly many poor people who are sleeping on the streets and begging for money and food.
When walking down Market Street in San Francisco, every time you hesitate, have a glance and look, they will ask you for a favour.
Don't look at them.
